FAQs

General

Where do you ship?
At this time, I ship only to the United States.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is $7USD flat rate. A tracking number will be provided with all orders.

When will my order ship?
Orders should ship within 3-5 business days, unless the banner at the top of the website indicates otherwise.

What materials do you use for packaging?
In an effort to reuse and recycle whenever possible, orders may be shipped using materials that were preloved. This has no impact on how well or securely the order is packed.

When are shop updates?
I add things to my shop as they are made, so there is no set shop update schedule. Announcements about new items are made on Instagram and my newsletter.

What is your return policy?
I do not accept refunds for any of my items (physical or digital).

Baby Hats

Where do the names for the hats come from?
My hats are made using hand dyed yarn colors that already have names. To keep things simple on my end, I almost always just use the same names for the hats that the dyers used for the yarn.

How do I care for a baby hat?
For ease of care, I only use superwash merino wool or superwash merino wool blends for the baby hats. Please machine wash (or hand wash) using cold water, and then lay flat to dry.

What are your baby hats made out of?
I use either 100% superwash merino wool, or superwash merino wool blends with nylon, cashmere or silk. Please refer to the baby hat listing descriptions, which will note what each hat is specifically made out of.

How are your baby hats made?
By hand, by me! That's part of what makes each hat one of a kind -- I hand knit every stitch. I use the pattern "Beloved" by Tin Can Knits.

How do I care for my weaving/embroidery hoop?

Your weaving/embroidery hoop should be hung indoors and out of direct sunlight. Over time, your piece may accumulate dust, which can be gently removed by lightly patting the back of the piece to remove dust. Do not use a lint roller on the piece.

Knitting Patterns

Are your patterns available elsewhere?
Yes, my hand knitting patterns are also sold on Ravelry.

How do you choose what yarns you feature in your patterns?
I have an extensive sock yarn stash on hand so I pull from what I have! Sometimes it's because I want to showcase a favorite dyer, or sometimes it's because I want to use a certain color. Unless otherwise stated, all yarn I feature in my patterns is purchased by me.
